Moorish Masterpiece

Beautifully crafted ceiling and dome of the Hall of Ambassadors in the Real Alcazar in Seville. You can see the four balconies looking down into this hall but only one of them is real. The Real Alcazar is the oldest palace in Europe that is still in use. It was originally a Moorish fort. Built in the 15th century it remains one of the best displays of Mudejar art which blends Moorish and European elements.
